Flint from Chargee helps to prevent these feed-in costs by intelligently controlling your solar inverter. Flint can partially switch back or temporarily switch off your solar panels if there is a risk of a surplus. This prevents you from feeding back power unnecessarily, so that you have more control over your energy costs and put less strain on the grid.

Once you have connected Flint, you will receive live insight into the generation of your solar panels and your energy consumption in the Chargee app. This way you know exactly how much power you generate, what you consume and what you return to the grid.

Where physical cabling is difficult, Flint offers 2.4Ghz WiFi support. Connect Flint to a local network.

Ethernet / LAN

The Flint gateway has an Ethernet port as standard so that connectivity can be provided via a local network and cabling.

4G (Optional)

Flint can be equipped with a 4G LTE modem. This allows for a reliable connection at any location.

Can I connect Flint myself or does a installer need to do this?

Flint can only be installed by a certified installer because the system is directly connected to the inverter of your solar panels. This requires specific technical knowledge to ensure a safe and correct installation. A certified installer has the right expertise and experience to ensure that everything is connected correctly and meets the applicable safety standards.
